What is your Vision?

What is your vision for 2013?

Proverbs 29:18 The Message (MSG)

18 If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves;
But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

When we can’t see what God is doing we stumble over ourselves. we get sidetracked and easily lose our way. If we see what God is doing we can easily stay on track especially with our vision for our year or life.

When we attend to what He says we can find joy, peace and blessing.

Proverbs 29:18 New International Version (NIV)

18 Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

When we have no revelation or insight for our life or future we lose restraint. An example is when we don’t have a real plan or vision for savings we lose restraint and a  lot of money we waste on things that have nothing to do with what we really want out of life. If we look to God when we set our visions/goals for our life we can set ourselves realistic targets by His wisdom which leads to success and peace.

Proverbs 29:18 New Living Translation (NLT)

18 When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild.
But whoever obeys the law is joyful.

If we accept God’s divine guidance we can bring our thoughts, actions, will and emotions into control and not be going off in alll directions and getting nowhere. we sometimes end up going “wild” because we lack direction and goals for our lives. God’s law/direction will bring peace and blessing.

Vision/Goal:

v     Purpose

v     Target

v     Aim

Purpose:

Noun: The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

Verb: Have as one’s intention or objective

What is your reason for being here in 2013? What is your reason for existance? what is your objective?

If we start to look at the answers to some of these questions we can start to get a clearer picture of where we want to go in 2013.

Target:

A person, object, or place selected as the aim of an attack.

What do you want to target this year to attack and to bring under control or to succeed in?

If we answer this question it can help us form our goals and vision.

Aim:

A purpose or intention; a desired outcome.

What is the desired outcome of this year for you? Do you want to acheive something this year?

Where to begin????

1.   Pick ONE Goal
2.   Start Small and Easy
3.   Write It Down
4.   Keep Track Every Day
5.   You Have To Want It
6.   Be Positive
7.   Pray About It
If you follow these simple steps you can acheive your vision/goal this year.

Proverbs 16:3 New International Version (NIV)

3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Commit  your goals/visions/plans to the Lord, that means seeking His guidance on them and praying about them.

Remember His plans for you are for good…

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I pray that each of us will start to take control of the time we ahve this year and really make a difference in our lives by developing a vision/goal for our lives. By December 2013 we can look back and see the achievments we have made!
